Dr. Kim Taylor, Producer/Director

 

Kim Taylor comes from England and is a long-time observer and researcher of Chinese history and culture. She has lived more than eight years in the Chinese cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Nanjing. She has travelled the length and breadth of the country and is fluent in both written and spoken Mandarin Chinese. In 2006, together with a Chinese partner, Kim set up Kaimu Productions in Shanghai, China with the ultimate aim of producing serious and factual content for both Chinese and foreign broadcasters. Kaimu Productions now produces regular monthly content for Shanghai Television's International Channel with an audience rating of between 100,000 - 500,000 people. Her observational documentary, 'Shanghai Quest', about three young, foreign entrepreneurs' dreams of success in China, won the Audience Choice Award at the Roving Eye Documentary Film Festival, part of the Rhode Island International Film Festival, in May 2008. Kim regularly acts as producer/director for foreign productions who do not wish to send a crew to China. Previous clients include Live Earth Organisation, Diebold Services and Mori Building Co. Ltd.

Priyanka Sah, Production Co-ordinator

 

Born and raised in India, Priyanka Sah completed her masters in Film and television production in 2004.The same year she started working as a journalist, writing news for the Indian sub-continent feed of Reuters, London. She joined television in 2006, working as an Assistant producer for Lok Sabha Television, the channel of the Parliament of India. There she co-produced various television programmes and documentaries, before starting her own television show ¡±Expressions¡±, capturing the Indian art scene in India. She is a keen photographer, trained mountaineer and skier. An ardent traveller and nature lover, her articles have been published in various travel magazines, including ¡®Discover India¡¯, the in-flight magazine of Indian Airlines. She joined Kaimu to broaden her perspective and experience documentary production in China.

Cindy Le, Assistant Producer

 

Cindy Le graduated in 2009 from Huazhong Normal University in Wuhan, majoring in Broadcasting and Journalism. She also did a minor in English Language at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. During her studies, Cindy was responsible for directing and editing programs for the University's online TV station for a period of over a year. From July to September 2008, she continued her training within an internship at Hubei Television Sports Channel. At around the same time she was also put in charge of organising the filming of over one thousand residential communities in Hubei province, a national project organized by E-house, a large real estate company. She is currently working as assistant producer at Kaimu Productions helping to co-ordinate various overseas and local productions in China.
