Pioneer Productions teamed up with Kaimu Productions and storm chasers James Reynolds and Geoff Mackley to visit Taiwan to shoot the upcoming Discovery Channel series Raging Planet. The topic of the show was to revisit areas which were ravaged by typhoon Sepat in 2007. James and Geoff had captured dramatic footage of the event as it unfolded in the stunning Taroko Gorge and Hualien city. As fate would have it, just prior to the beginning of the shoot typhoon Sinlaku struck northern Taiwan and the two chasers were there on location filming the event. Pioneer Productions were able to incorporate this latest typhoon disaster into the program as they attempted to reach the flood ravaged town of Lushan in central Taiwan to document the aftermath of the storm.
