In July 2008 Kaimu Productions worked with Australia's Beyond Productions on a episode for National Geographic's series Taboo. The crew travelled to the remote Lugu Lake on the border with Yunnan and Sichuan to document the life of the Mosuo people who are one of the world''s few matriarchal societies.
